I'm looking for some helpful advice as to how to regain my confidence in our relationship. My boyfriend has cheated on me in the past, and around the same time, he criticized my weight. This caused me to be deeply depressed and, not wanting to lose him, I lose about 27 pounds and was in a healthy weight range for the first time in years. Since that incident almost a year ago exactly, he has really committed to me and shown me that he is trustworthy and won't hurt me like that again. I gained all of the weight back. My problem now is that I am convinced I will lose him again. I feel so insecure about it that he has told me if I don't stop feeling sad soon, he will have to break up with me. Which I feel is unfair because the only reason I am sad is because of the insecurity issues that HE gave me. If he never cheated and never criticized my body, I wouldn't be insecure. How can I possibly feel beautiful and sexy knowing that those things happened? I've been trying to think of ways to lose the weight again but it just won't come off from dieting unless I starve myself, and I am way too exhausted from my job teaching elementary school to exercise at the gym every day.
